ENGAGEMENT TERMS
HOURLY FEES:
2 Parties: $200.00 per hour per party
3 Parties: $150.00 per hour per party
4 Parties: $125.00 per hour per party
5 or more Parties: $600.00 per hour divided equally between the parties.
The hourly fees include time spent for preparation, review of documents, time
spent in the mediation or arbitration, drafting the settlement agreement or
Arbitration Award, Report to the Court, and all necessary filings.
For all arbitrations, whether court ordered or private, the parties agree to
waive the per diem limitation on non-binding fees set forth in Florida Statute
Section 44.103(3).
There will be a 3-hour minimum charge for all half-day mediations or
arbitrations requested.
There will be a 6-hour minimum charge for all full day mediations or
arbitrations requested.
Payment is due within 30 days of the event.
An Engagement Letter will be sent to all counsel/pro se parties setting forth
the date, time, ZOOM information, and engagement terms.
Please provide a copy of the Notice of Mediation or Notice of Arbitration and
any materials for review to flo@uptonmediation.com.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
$600.00 fee for half-day mediations and arbitrations cancelled within three (3)
business days of the event.
$1200.00 fee for full day mediations and arbitrations cancelled within three (3)
business days of the event.
Cancellation fees will be divided equally between the parties and billed to the
respective attorney unless otherwise agreed by the parties.
